About

• I am the head of the Department of upper abdominal and endocrine surgery at the St. Barbaraklinik in Hamm. We are involved in bariatric surgery since 2008 and do a little more than 200 baratric procedures per year.
• Our focus of scientific interest is the marginal ulcer, as can be assumed from my contribution, but also the importance of bowel length in bypass surgery and SADI.
• Besides my teaching duties in the St. Barbaraklinik I am affiliated with my former academic workplace, the University of Düsseldorf with teaching duties and doctorate theses, that I am supervising.
