• The Hospital Network Antwerp or ZNA is a merger of 9 existing hospitals in the Belgian city of Antwerp.
• The merger came about in 2004 and includes 3 general and 6 specialized hospitals, the largest Belgian merged hospital with 2,500 beds. The ZNA has a reach of 1 million inhabitants in 32 merged municipalities. It employs 7,000 people across the various campuses, including 2,560 nurses, 550 nursing staff and 600 doctors. They are responsible for 75,000 hospital admissions and 1 million consultations.
• Our hospital network covers the most spectrums of medicine with many tertiary services.
• The obesity center ZNA Stuivenberg/Cadix is centrally located in Antwerp. It is part of the Department of General, Pediatric and Thoracic Surgery. On our campus, we perform 850+ bariatric procedures (primary, redo, endobariatrics) per year. Our team consists of 11 surgeons including bariatric and metabolic surgeons. Each of these surgeons has an additional specific focus (colorectal, pediatric, hepatobiliary, thoracic, breast,...).
• Next year we will move to our new hospital (Cadix) with a completely new infrastructure ready for the obesity program of the future
