University Hospitals North Midlands, Stoke on Trent, UK which is placed between Birmingham and Manchester in the UK caters to a wide drainage area with over 1200 beds in two sites  and is one of the few National Trauma centres in the country. All forms of tertiary level services across multiple specialities are offered.

The bariatric surgical unit consists of 5 surgeons and a full multidisciplinary team which has been performing over 350 surgeries per year. They serve as one of the few high volume units within the country performing the maximum number of RYGB ( > 90% of all primary bariatric surgery) procedures. They are planning an expansion into endobariatrics and robotic surgery in the near future.

All of the surgeons contribute to the NBSR registry in the UK.
